Caravan Front End Clunk

Behind the cross, the sun rises ...

In central Côte d'Ivoire, I saw a cross in the bush. Abandoned or nearly, it always marks the grave of a young missionary died of yellow fever in 1930. How many men and women did not leave their comfortable life to bring the Good News of Christ in a time when there was still no vaccines against tropical diseases, where there were no drugs for cure malaria? The cross of Jesus I have seen also in the faith of so many brothers and sisters: their love for the Lord, their enthusiasm, their songs, their faith in the face of danger or bad luck ... Behind the cross, Day breaks: A new day for the Gospel who wins hearts, transforms lives, enabling a better future. The cross of Christ is about contradiction: "foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are saved it is the power of God . (1 Corinthians 1: 18).

An extraordinary welcome! What

They came to fetch me away in Bamako, Mali's capital. My good friend and past president of the District: Ely Sanogo (he gave me the name of his family), and Pierre Diarra, the new president of the District of Sikasso, 400 km have to welcome me. Yet I have proposed taking the bus but nothing to do: they could not let me do the trip alone. However, the car was "tired", had to be repaired in the capital, which took a day longer than expected. It allowed me to visit an old Louvain-La-Neuve, to the knowledge of his wife and pray that the Lord gives them children. For them, the cost of the car is huge, but friendship is priceless. Ditto for the time: pick me up at the airport cost them three days! We have now, our beloved have time !
